SuperEnalotto rules: lines, prize tiers, and odds
SuperEnalotto is an Italian game: you select 6 numbers from 90, and two extra numbers are drawn — the Jolly, which determines the 2nd prize tier, and the optional SuperStar number. The 1st prize tier is a jackpot that rolls over from one draw to the next and is paid as a lump sum. Understanding the game rules precisely is the first step in a reasoned approach.
The SuperEnalotto line in a few key points
On your play slip, mark 6 numbers in the number section (1 to 90). You can also add the SuperStar option (a number from 1 to 90, for €0.50 extra). The Jolly is not chosen by the player: it is drawn by Sisal from the remaining 84 numbers. Your line must be validated before 8:00 p.m. on the day of the draw, at an authorized retailer (retail shop) or online at sisal.it.
The 6 prize tiers
SuperEnalotto has six base prize tiers. Tier 1 is the jackpot, rolled over from one draw to the next and paid as a lump sum; the other tiers pay a variable payout. The SuperStar option opens up eight additional categories.

The Tier 1 jackpot
Tier 1 is not based on a fixed amount: its jackpot rolls over from one draw to the next and is paid as a lump sum to the winner. It is funded at each draw by a share of the stakes. As long as no player matches all six numbers, it keeps growing.
Tier 2 is won with 5 out of 6 numbers plus the correct Jolly. Its prize amount is not fixed: it depends on the number of winners and the total stakes for the draw.
The SuperStar number
The SuperStar option is a number from 1 to 90 that you add to your line for an extra €0.50. It creates eight additional categories, from 6★ to 0★. The 1★ (1 number + SuperStar) and 0★ (no numbers + SuperStar) categories pay a small fixed prize.
| Tier | Payout per line | Probability |
|---|---|---|
| 6 numbers + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 56,035,316,700 |
| 5 numbers + Jolly + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 9,339,219,450 |
| 5 numbers + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 112,520,716 |
| 4 numbers + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 1,071,626 |
| 3 numbers + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 29,404 |
| 2 numbers + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 1,936 |
| 1 number + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 310 |
| 0 numbers + SuperStar | variable amount | 1 in 138 |
variable amount — The SuperStar option is a number from 1 to 90 that you add to your line for an extra €0.50. It creates eight additional categories, from 6★ to 0★. The 1★ (1 number + SuperStar) and 0★ (no numbers + SuperStar) categories pay a small fixed prize.
Probabilities tier by tier
To calculate the exact probabilities, you need to count the total number of possible lines: choosing 6 numbers from 90 gives 622,614,630 combinations. The probability of hitting Tier 1 is therefore 1 in 622,614,630: no line is “better” than another. With the SuperStar option, the set of possible combinations expands to 622,614,630 × 90.
| Tier | Condition | Probability |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 6 matching numbers | 1 in 622,614,630 |
| 2 | 5 matching numbers + the Jolly number | 1 in 103,769,105 |
| 3 | 5 matching numbers | 1 in 1,250,230 |
| 4 | 4 matching numbers | 1 in 11,907 |
| 5 | 3 matching numbers | 1 in 327 |
| 6 | 2 matching numbers | 1 in 22 |
Overall, about 5.0% of lines win at least one prize, from the smallest payout to the jackpot. The payouts for tiers 2 through 6 are not fixed: they depend on the number of winners and the total stakes for each draw.

Why analyze statistics?
Statistics don't change the odds of a line, but they can help you build balanced combinations and avoid the biased choices most players make (birthdays, consecutive numbers, patterns). Discover our six-rule method, or use the line generator.
